Learn about the High School Choirs

High School Concert Choir is a freshman choir open to all freshman at Otsego High School. This choir is a pre-requisite to the Women's Choir, the Men's Choir and The Otsego Chorale. The Concert Choir will experience many styles of choral music; Folk, Patriotic, Pop, Spirituals and Broadway. The students will also learn the beginnings of music theory and ear training. Four concert are mandatory for the school year. (Fall, Holiday, Chicken BBQ and Spring)
The Otsego Chorale is an auditioned ensemble and the top choral group at OHS. The Chorale meets everyday through-out the school year and experiences medium to difficult choral music, accompanied and acappella. The Chorale is one of the 3 choirs in the high school that compete at the OMEA District I Choir Contest. Four Concerts and one contest are required during the school year. (Fall, Holiday, Chicken BBQ, Spring and OMEA Contest)
The Otsego Swing Choir is an auditioned song and dance group that is chosen each year at the end of the year, for the upcoming school year. The Swing Choir meets each Monday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 pm through-out the Fall semester. The Swing Choir experiences vocal pop, barbershop, jazz, folk and Broadway music along with choreography.
