At Otsego Local Schools, we believe that nutritious meals are essential to helping students thrive academically, socially, and physically. Our Food Service Department works hard every day to provide balanced, delicious meals for students while maintaining high safety, nutrition, and equity standards. From menu planning, food preparation, to ensuring all eligible students have access through free/reduced programs, we strive for consistency, quality, and transparency in everything we serve.

Key Services & Initiatives

Providing Nutritious Meals: Our team carefully plans and prepares meals that meet USDA and Ohio nutrition standards, ensuring every student has access to healthy, balanced options each school day.

Promoting Transparency: Weekly menus for each building are posted in advance, giving families and students the ability to plan ahead.

Ensuring Access for All Students: Through the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program, as well as breakfast options, we are committed to making sure no student goes without nutritious food.

Simplifying Meal Payments: PaySchools Central allows families to conveniently manage student meal accounts, add funds, and track balances online.

Maintaining Food Safety and Cleanliness: We follow strict sanitation procedures, conduct regular inspections, and train staff in safe food handling to protect the health of every student.

Community & Family Engagement

Schools alone cannot develop students' healthy behaviors and habits with regard to eating and exercise. It will be necessary for not only the staff, but district stakeholders to be involved in a community-wide effort to promote, support, and model such healthy behaviors and habits. How do I apply for Free or Reduced-Price Meal services?
Families can complete the application online through PaySchools Central. This secure platform allows you to submit your information quickly and confidentially. Once your application is reviewed, you’ll be notified of your eligibility status.

Where can I find the school menus?
Weekly menus for the Elementary and Junior High/High School are posted on the Food Service page. Menus are may be updated throughout the year.

How do I pay for my child’s meals?
Meal accounts can be managed through PaySchools Central, where families can add funds, set up low-balance alerts, and view account activity. Cash payments are also accepted in school cafeterias.
